CLIMIT encompasses the Research Council's subsidy scheme for research and development (the R&D part) and Gassnova's support for development and demonstration (the demo part).
The programme is managed by a Programme Board consisting of 11 persons. The Programme Board's duties are primarily of a strategic character and include ensuring that no dispositions are made or agreements signed that inflict obligations on Gassnova SF or the Research Council beyond the framework and guidelines adopted for the programme activities.
Gassnova has overall responsibility and heads the Programme Secretariat. The Secretariat consists of CCS experts who work proactively to promote future-oriented projects. The projects must fill gaps in knowledge about CCS and stimulate development of new innovative projects that provide more cost and energy efficient solutions.
